Dedicated
Offshore Resource/Development Center
An Offshore
Development Center (ODC) is a dedicated
development center, located outside the
client's premises, solely engaged in developing,
testing and deploying software solutions
and applications, most often in a country
outside the client's country.
Can
be Applied to:
As the name suggests the development center
or the people developing the software based
on the client requirements are outside the
client’s country and are Dedicated to only
a Single Customer. This model helps the
clients in the way that they can focus on
their core value competencies without worrying
much about sourcing technical competencies/humans.
Approach
In this model Customer and Elixir agree
on working together for developing the project
or part thereof. The project specifications
(module specification) are sent for analysis
to Elixir. Elixir conducts an analysis for
the requirements and provides estimated
time for completion of the work. Based on
which Elixir Recommends the Composition
of Team required to carry out the assignment
and on Customer’s approval deploys a Dedicated
Team in the Offshore Facility. The project
development is charged on pre-agreed Man
Month Rate with a minimum committed duration
in terms of Months/Years. Elixir will send
updates on the progress of the work on regular
basis on pre agreed frequency.
